Dear VCU Globe Student,

You are invited to participate in a confidential survey that serves as part of the VCU Globe program evaluation. All students in GLED-101 will be asked to complete a brief survey about their interactions and beliefs about other cultures. The survey takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

Your participation in this study is completely voluntary and your responses will assist in program improvement. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project; however, if you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you can withdraw from the survey at any point.

Your survey responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. Your information will be coded and will remain confidential. A culture broker is someone who:
 
Prevents positive interactions between people of different cultures.
 
Sells cultural knowledge across borders.
 
Bridges, links, or mediates between groups or persons of differing cultural backgrounds for the purpose of reducing conflict or producing change.
