Q1. I am clear about what I am supposed to do and have defined set of KRAs.
What it Means: I am able to seek clarity from my seniors on what I am supposed to do at work.
What it doesn’t Mean: -Lack of clarity in the new assignment due to a recent change in role -Gap in KRAs v/s Role due to change in role doesn’t mean non clarity -Non-documentation of KRAs.

Q2. I have the resources, information, processes which I need to do my job efficiently.
What it Means: -I have adequate infrastructure to do my job well; incase I don't have, I am made aware as to when it will be made available -There are pre-defined systems and process to support me in doing my work -I get adequate support & information to do my job well
What it doesn’t Mean: -Material should not be construed only as infrastructure like workstation, PC/laptop, etc

Q3. My manager is aware of my strengths and adequately utilizes it.
What it Means: -I am in a role of my interest and I have the requisite skill for that. -I have the opportunity to get involved in activities which interests me
What it doesn’t Mean: -I will ONLY/ALWAYS be given assignments of my choice or which I want"

Q4. My Supervisor/Peers/Seniors gives me praise and recognition when I do a good job.
What it Means: -I am acknowledged for my efforts,either formally or informally(pat on the back/word of praise/thank you/smiley/etc) -My good work gets acknowledged/noticed. -Once in a while I get appreciated for good job done by my superiors/ other function or by my peers -Employees recognize each other

Q5. I feel there is someone who supports and care for my development.
What it Means: -I can approach my superiors/colleagues for sharing my views/feeling or seeking support or for my development -Company has policies which take care of me and my family -My manager/superior stands by me, when I need support -My manager / superior is conscious about my development needs & guides me in my work
What it doesn’t Mean: -I am never questioned for my late coming / taking leaves too often -I am not questioned for my non-performance -Tough/result oriented bosses are not caring

What it Means: -Company provides means by which I can give my ideas and suggestions for improvement -I am encouraged to give my opinion -People who challenge the status quo are valued -I am encouraged to suggest solutions to problems, rather than just complain about them
What it doesn’t Mean: -All the opinions given will be implemented

What it Means: -I understand how my work contributes to achievement of company/circle/functional goals -I feel proud/motivated to be a contributing team member in achieving the goals of company/circle/function -Company shares the performance and achievements with employees through various employee meets
What it doesn’t Mean: -I should know the mission statement of my company word by word

Q8. People are held accountable for the quality of work they produce.
What it Means: -I see efforts around me for improving quality/process in the company -My peers want/desire to do good quality work -I interact with others so that I can learn from others and improve the quality of my work
What it doesn’t Mean: -I see my co-workers being careless about their work -Quality is responsibility ONLY of Manager/TQM
