The Economic Contribution of Urban Forestry in the State of California:
Survey of Electric Utilities

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CALFIRE) has commissioned a comprehensive study of the economic impacts of urban forestry throughout California. Information about these impacts is critical for policy making and budgetary allocations.

Your participation in this survey is voluntary. Your answers to the questions below will be treated confidentially. There is no penalty if you do not wish to participate and you do not have to answer any question. Answering the questions will probably take 10 to 30 minutes.

Your participation in the survey is important. The information that you provide will enable us to estimate the personal income, jobs, and other economic impacts associated with urban forestry in the state.

Please answer the following questions for 2009 or your most recent fiscal year as best you can. Information about actual expenditures or employment is preferred to budgeted amounts. An estimate or a rounded number is better than no answer. Please write ‘UE’ if you are unable to estimate. Please answer these questions by April 20th, 2010.
