A
hybrid class
combines classroom learning with online learning. In a hybrid course, a significant portion of the class learning activities are online, which reduces the amount of time spent in a traditional, face-to-face classroom.
Online course
learning activities are done completely online through Blackboard, therefore, "realtime" class meetings in a traditional classroom are not held, however, the instructor may require "virtual" class meetings as part of the curriculum as well as proctored testing.
