Raoul Wallenberg was a Swedish diplomat who saved over 100 000 lives during the WW2. When he heard about Hitler's "final solution to the Jewish problem", he went to Hungary, where he issued "Swedish Protective Passes" to the Jews and therefore saved them from being sent to concentration camps. He also risked his own life many times by going into the war zones, and stayed behind until the very end of the war.
