Idea A

Where: Window that opens when clicking the Add Items button on the Departure form.
What: Add checkboxes for Itinerary Items, Prices, Costs and Assignment Groups which are checked by default, but when unchecked will result in those items NOT being added from the selected Departure to the current Departure.
Why: This would allow you to, for example, just add the costs from a departure instead of having to add all items and then delete the ones you didn’t want.

Idea B

Where: Trip form and Booking form
What: Add folder on Trip form for Related Trips which would allow extensions to be linked to “compatible” trips. When saving a booking, the system would check to see if there was a “compatible” departure or extension based on proximity to the start date and end date of the selected departure and if any were found, prompt the user with a list of possible extensions.
Why: There is currently no way to systematically identify extensions that can be added to a booking. Users must know that one exists and what it is. Relating at the Trip level rather than the Departure level saves having to remember to relate Departures each time a new main Departure or extension Departure is created.

Idea C

Where: Pop up which opens when saving an invoice if the client has a credit memo available.
What: Change buttons on pop up to “Apply” and “Cancel”. When clicking Apply, all available credit memos will be applied to the Invoice. If necessary, the user can go to the Credit Memo folder on Invoice form to remove individual Credit Memos that the Client doesn’t want applied.
Why: When attempting to add existing Credit Memos to an Invoice from the Credit Memo folder on the Invoice form, the user has to know the Credit Memo number, requiring them to drill into the client’s contact record, find the Credit Memo or Memos and note their number(s) and then come back to apply them. In most cases the client will want to use all available Credit Memos.

Idea D

Where: Window that opens when clicking New Guest button on the Booking form.
What: Change the window to display a list on the left side of all contacts in the same household as the client on the booking with the ability to then select one or more of those contacts and “move” them to a list on the right side of the window of guests to be added to the booking and then to use a search window to search for other existing contacts to be added as guests. When done, clicking the OK button would add all selected contacts as guests on the booking with today as the book date.
Why: Adding multiple guests to a booking today requires clicking the New Guest button which opens the Guest form where you can then lookup an existing Contact or create a new one and then click Save and New to repeat the process for additional Guests. This new window would reduce the number of clicks required to add two members of the Client’s Household to the Booking from about 10 to 5.

Idea E

Where: The preview window that displays when clicking the “carrot” on the left column on a list of Inquiries.
What: The preview would be updated to display a list of the interests noted on the Inquiry including Trips, Departure, Destinations and Trip Activities.
Why: Currently one has to open the Inquiry and then click on the Trips of Interest folder to see, for example, which Trip itineraries were requested.
