You are invited to take part in a study investigating relation between Internet based new media use and civic competence. It will take approximately 15 minutes to complete the questionnaire.

If you wish to participate, please confirm the following:
You are asked to complete the survey twice. The time between the two attempts should be 7 to 10 days. Your responses will be used to improve reliability of the survey questionnaire.

Who can take part:
If you are over 16 years of age and resident in the United Kingdom you are eligible to participate.

Confidentiality and Data Protection:
You will complete the questionnaire anonymously, you will not be asked for your name or any other information which could identify you. Your information will be coded and will remain confidential. The results of this survey will be reported only in the aggregate.

Risk & Benefits
There is no risk involved for participants completing the survey. The benefit of this research is increased knowledge of the relationship between Internet based new media and civic competence, this information could benefit future research.
