You are invited to participate in our survey "Students’ Perspective on Adoption of Social Collaborative E-Learning Technology". This is a pilot study to pre-test the first stage of a study aimed at exploring adoption of social collaborative e-learning at a university level education. This survey is intended to establish students’ views, perception, experience and expectations on the use of social collaborative e-learning technology.

Definition:
Social collaborative e-learning technology is a pedagogical approach in which learning takes place via social interaction and collaboration using a computer or through the Internet. This kind of learning is characterized by the informal sharing and construction of knowledge among participants using social networking technology and or enhanced learning management systems as their primary means of communication or as a common resource

Informed Consent:

1. I have read and had explained to me by Francis Otto the accompanying Information Sheet relating to the project on Exploring the adoption of social collaborative e-learning in higher education

2. I have had explained to me the purposes of the project and what will be required of me, and any questions I have had have been answered to my satisfaction. I agree to the arrangements described in the Information Sheet in so far as they relate to my participation.

3. I understand that participation is entirely voluntary and that I have the right to withdraw from the project any time, and that this will be without detriment.

4. This application has been reviewed by the University Research Ethics Committee and has been given a favourable ethical opinion for conduct.

5. I have received a copy of this Consent Form and of the accompanying Information Sheet.
