B. Training a Collaborative(s) of Principals to Implement CCSS (Gary Giannoni, Merrill Vargo)
Site leaders play a pivotal role in leading the change to the CCSS at their sites. This workshop will focus on Pivot’s approach to training and coaching site leaders to effectively implement Common Core.

C. Strengthening Basic Teacher Leadership Skills for the Common Core Environment Using Technology (Judi Gutierrez, Amy Dabrowski, Jim Hollis)
This breakout session will focus on how to develop basic teacher leadership skills necessary to implement the Common Core. Since much of this content is derived from Pivot’s Teacher Leadership Program, the workshop will focus on content that has been developed explicitly for the Common Core, including: PLCs 2.0. Lessons learned from setting up a professional learning network of teacher leaders in Bellevue on the web-based platform Edmodo will be shared. Participants will leave with a basic understanding of how Edmodo can be used to improve Teacher PLCs and increase collaboration between sites.
