Dear Sir/Madam,

You are hereby invited to attend a high-level panel event on Tuesday, 16 May 2017, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m (Vienna time)  in Board Room A (M Building) at the Vienna International Centre (VIC).

    The high-level panel event is being organized by the United Nations Evaluation Group (UNEG), a professional network that brings together the units responsible for evaluation in the United Nations system. It is one of the activities of the 2017 UNEG Evaluation Week, organized with the support of the evaluation units of the Vienna-based organizations, namely, the  Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

The event is entitled “Eradicating poverty and promoting prosperity in a changing world”, with a focus on challenges and opportunities to evaluate policies and strategies for eradicating poverty and promoting prosperity. The high-level panel event will further focus on the role of evaluation and a set of specific Sustainable Development Goals to be reviewed in the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development.

Please note that you are requested to register for this event in order to access the building until Monday, 15 May 2017, 10:00hrs.
