* Explanation of Procedure:
The researcher requests full participation in the research study by selecting responses to the best of their knowledge from a Likert-scaled survey from individuals who teach secondary mathematics courses and administrators in Title I schools in an Alabama educational community. Participation is strictly voluntary and no incentives are offered. Successful participation requires only responding honestly to the statements, and ideas presented in the survey. The purpose of the survey will be to gain quality information regarding the role of principal leadership practices that influence the retention of secondary math teachers in Title I schools.
Risks, Discomforts, and Confidentiality:
There are no foreseen risks or discomforts to the participants. Surveys are expected to be completed within five to 20 minutes. The purpose of the surveys is solely for educational experience of Monique Bibbs, a doctoral candidate at Alabama State University.
Benefits:
You, the participant, may not experience any direct benefits, besides the satisfaction that your responses will be used to enhance the educational experience of Monique Bibbs.
Alternatives:
You have the right to not participate or stop participation at any time before, during, and after survey.
Costs or Payment for Participation:
There will be no costs or payment for participation in this dissertation study.
