POSI+IVI+Y Mentoring: Mentor Application 2013-2014


Greetings!

POSI+IVI+Y (Positivity) Mentoring is a direct outreach student organization at The George Washington University. We pair one GW undergraduate with one middle-school student. We operate through an afterschool program that meets weekly at Francis-Stevens Education Campus (2425 N Street NW, DC).

Our Mission
POSI+IVI+Y (Positivity) is committed to the self-development and self-realization of each child. That each child finds beauty in his or herself and everything around them so much that they bloom past their circumstances into success. Through mentoring, workshops, and activities, each child learns how to achieve her dreams and live a fulfilled life.

Please note that the program meets every Friday from 3:30pm to 5:00pm starting in January 2014. All mentors must complete one workshop and a background check before working with the students. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis after 12/29/13. IF there are no spots available, those that qualify are placed on a waiting list in case an opportunity opens up!
