To Craft Distiller(s) in the State of New York,

In order to better serve the burgeoning craft distilling industry, we have developed this survey to address questions about challenges and successes distillers face when connecting with local growers. We would strongly appreciate your participation in this Pilot Survey. The final survey will be distributed to distillers in Washington State. Washington State is similar to the New York State in that there are craft distilling requirements to source a percentage of ingredients locally. We thus seek your assistance in completing this pilot survey on how your distillery connects with local farmers. Your participation and input on this Pilot Survey will be very valuable for us as we develop a study to assess the needs and challenges of Washington State craft distillers.

This survey is intended for craft distillers directly involved with production and sourcing of products. This survey should take approximately 20 minutes to complete. We appreciate your response by next Thursday January 16th. While we realize this is short turn-around to gather your responses, our preferred deadline for survey submissions is Monday January 13th, 2014. Personal information from the survey will remain anonymous and your participation will help us to make modifications to the survey instrument we will distribute to distillers in Washington State.

Your participation in the Pilot Survey will help us to advance the craft distilling industry by determining challenges and successes distillers face when connecting with local farmers. This project is being conducted by students with The Evergreen State College graduate program in Public Administration.
