PURPOSE:

1. To improve the effectiveness of your communications - the evaluation will help you know whether your communications plan is working or whether you need to make adjustments. Knowing the effect of your communications activities and fine-tuning those areas that need improvement will help you reach your expected outcomes.

2. To effectively engage with your audience - the evaluation will help you find ways to gather feedback from your audiences and learn how they are responding to your messages.

3. To help allocate your resources wisely - for national project management units that have limited human (at times financial) resources, the evaluation is to help you determine whether your communications investments could be redistributed more effectively to achieve the expected results.
