Questions about “Manager Connect”

DPI’s Centre Leaders have an important role in building manager connect. This aligns closely with one of the four key DPI outcomes of the Centre Leader Project, namely; staff are connected to DPI and other Divisions to provide integrated service delivery at sites. This in turn is underpinned by an outcome for the Centre Leaders which states; staff has an understanding of DPI strategies, directions and key issues. This outcome clearly places responsibility on the Centre Leader to transfer corporate messages, but also be the conduit for staff feedback.

It is recognised that the Centre Leaders are only one layer of leadership in the organisation, albeit critical in terms of place-based leadership, and that all management levels have a role to play (‘walk the talk’) in addressing the opportunity for improved manager connect.

* 22. What role do you see yourself playing to help manager connect on your site?

* 23. Please list three actions that you will undertake over the next twelve months to assist with manager connect?

* 25. What would you do differently to what is currently being done?

* 26. What have been the benefits for you personally by undertaking the Centre Leader Role?
