The RN evaluation for Tam Thomas is being conducted online this year and we are looking for your participation in this important process. We are asking for this evaluation to be completed no later than December 14th. Please review the following summary of progress towards Tam's Goals & Objectives:



1. Data collection continues with changes in types of information collected. Results to be shared with SDA Board as requested.

2. Data collection for patient care improvement initiative continues. Data results were shared for individuals and a CME lecture on PONV was presented on 7/20/07. Next initiative to be identified. Will re-look at PONV next year.

3. Data collection on para-vertebral blocks started August 2007. QI for para-vertebral blocks includes follow up for hospital patients and outpatients with feedback to individual physicians regarding success of block. Attended Board of Directors meeting in October to present statistics.

4. Involved with office committee regarding PQRI start-up in July. Data collection to coincide with Medicare reporting program (PQRI) continues. Data collection includes antibiotic administration and temperature.

5. Carol Foss RN started in March 2007. She is independent at all four hospitals and we routinely meet to discuss issues. She is intimately involved in the data collection.

6. Surgeon preference list updated as information is sent in from MD’s.

7. Outpatient satisfaction survey completed with the assistance of Woody Anderson and distributed to hospitals and surgery centers. Dates for data collection 10/22/07 to 12/12/07. Results of survey will be shared with the service committee in January 2008.

8. Oriented two new physicians in 2007.

9. Attended workshop on Care of the Transplant Patient in March, RMPANA Workshop in September, Women’s Health Issues and ACLS recertification in November.

10. Attended office staff meetings and service committee meetings.
