Hello, PLEASE READ:

You are invited to participate my questionnaire for Concept Development. It will take approximately 5 minutes to complete.

You will be presented with a series of scenarios about what you would predict would happen to you during a 'Zombie Apocalypse'. During this time you will choose things like weapon and supply prefences as well as react to situations.

Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project. However, if you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you can withdraw from the survey at any point. It is very important for us to learn your opinions.

Your survey responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. Your information will be coded and will remain confidential.

SCENARIO:

You have been living in your basement alone, locked off from the rest of the world. During that time Zombies have taken over your neighbourhood – maybe even the world. You live in a densely populated area.

You’re running out of food and supplies and need to make a move. As you stand to get ready you hear the zombies outside your house. They’re not like regular zombies from the movies: These zombies can communicate and co-ordinate with each other. You don’t have much time.

There are items in the basement that would be useful to you such as a flashlight, bottled water and tinned food. You can hear the zombies outside. You need to move quickly, what do you do?

It takes a few more minutes to get ready, but you hear sounds coming from upstairs. One of them is in your house, you can hear the footsteps above your head. You need to go upstairs - there's medical supplies in the cupboards that will help you out if you get injured.

You sneak up the basement steps as quietly as you can. The creature is mumbling in a deep, raspy voice as it looks for anyone who is alive. Suddenly, the step underneath your foot makes a very loud creak. You stop moving, but the creature starts to make its way towards the basement door.

The stench of rotting flesh washes over you as the creature gets closer. You raise your weapon as the door flies open. The creature is unarmed.

'We got a live one!' it screamed.

You're outside your house, the surrounding neighborhood is a mess. There are figures stumbling around in the dark. The air smells like smoke and the dead. You need to make your way to safer ground, or risk looking for family and friends who could still be alive in the neighborhood. What do you do?
