Learning Goal/Purpose: The purpose of this education activity is to enhance the knowledge gaps of the Registered Nurse in Leadership and Management positions. The focus will be placed on 5 key areas: understanding of the economic impact of the Affordable Care Act; developing the continuum of care in health; the evolution of the Texas Health Resources Care Model; consumer- driven health care; and the challenges and plans in creating physician networks. There will be emphasis placed on the continued efforts to advance the continuum of care through care design, population health, and strategic partnerships as evidenced by achieving the desired outcomes and results for patients, providers, employers, and the community.
