My name is Iza Hazmaniza binti Ahmad Anuar, final year student of Bachelor of Nursing (Hons) in International Islamic University Malaysia. Presently I am required to conduct a research project partially to fulfill the requirement for the above course.

Study Title: Health related academic staff attitude toward interprofessional education (IPE)

Introduction:
The study will be carried out among health related academic staff who works at one of the five faculties involved in this research which includes Kulliyyah of Medicine, Kulliyyah of Nursing, Kulliyyah of Pharmacy, Kulliyyah of Dentistry and Kulliyyah of Allied Health Science in IIUM Kuantan. Although there is increased in research on positive attitude toward IPE implementation among students and healthcare worker worldwide, the attitude of health related academic staff on this subject in Malaysia has been found to be limited due to limited research on it. Therefore, the present study will be conducted to evaluate the attitude of health related academic staff toward IPE.

What is the purpose of this study?
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the attitude of health related academic staff toward interprofessional education

What are the procedures to be followed?
The procedures to be followed in this study as below:
You are invited to participate in this study after met inclusion criteria via email.
  1. Participant is needed to complete the questionnaire (online) by click on the link in the email.
  2. The completed questionnaire will be kept on a password-protected database and linked only with a study identification number for this research. The data will remain confidential and anonymity.
Who should not enter the study?
Academic staff who is on applied academic leave

What will be benefits of the study?

(a) To you as the subject.
The study will be benefits you as the subject by:
1) You will receive the information about the interprofessional education

(b) To the investigator.
1) Provides a local context in determining the attitude of health related academic staff toward interprofessional education
2) This study finding will be an insight for higher authority to evaluate the readiness of academic staff implements the interprofessional education

What are the possible risks in this study?
No possible risk is expected in this study.

Can I refuse to take part in the study?
Yes, you can refuse to take part of the study and the decision not to take part will not affect you in any way.

The contact person is the researcher herself and you are most welcome to ask any additional questions during the course of study.

Part B: Consent Form
Hello:
You are invited to participate in our survey on health related academic staff toward interprofessional education (IPE). In this survey, approximately 350 people will be asked to complete a survey that asks questions about the demographic data of participant and questions on attitude toward IPE. It will take approximately 15 minutes to complete the questionnaire.

Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project. However, if you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you can withdraw from the survey at any point. It is very important for us to learn your opinions.

Your survey responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. Your information will be coded and will remain confidential.
