The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure and the District of Peachland have initiated a study to assess the social and economic impacts of two potential highway road improvement concepts. Davies Transportation Consulting Inc. has been engaged to complete this work.
The study area is the last section of two lane highway in the central portion of the Okanagan Valley Corridor between Penticton and Armstrong.
The two general concepts for road improvement between Greata Ranch (south of Peachland) to the Drought Hill Interchange (north of Peachland) are:
(1) Four Laning Existing Highway 97.
(2) Highline Highway By-pass Construction.
