PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY:

INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPATION:

You have been asked to participate in an undergraduate BSc Psychology Research project relating to Facebook use and Interpersonal Relationships. The research focuses specifically on how Facebook jealousy in romantic relationships influences Facebook use.

YOUR ROLE IN THE RESEARCH:

You will be asked to complete a number of questionnaires that examine demographic information, jealousy disposition and Facebook use. The questionnaire instructions will ask you to read and respond to a list of questions and statements. You will be asked to be honest with your answers and to complete the questionnaires to the best of your ability. The completion of these questionnaires should take approximately 20 minutes altogether.

YOUR RIGHTS AS A PARTICIPANT:

As a participant, you have the right to know the following:

1. Your participation is completely voluntary; therefore, if you do not wish to take part, you have no obligation to do so.

2. By completing these questionnaires, you are providing informed consent.

3. Your information and data will be kept anonymous and confidential.

4. The right to withdraw from this study is not possible with an anonymously collected questionnaire.

5. Following the completion of the project, all raw data will be destroyed as confidential waste.

6. Following the completion of the questionnaires, you will be fully debriefed to what the study entailed and you will be given the opportunity to discuss any queries relating to the research and your participation.
