Goal
To explore the perception and use of across urban and rural fringe (see Fig. 1) by local inhabitants: how they appreciate it and how to benefit it. Individuals would be interviewed for only one specific area (for example, as labeled in Fig. 2, answered for edge 1 or edge 2, or the transect).

An urban rural fringe is described as the "landscape interface between town and country" or “urban periphery”, “urban edge” , “outer city”, “edgelands”, “regional city”, “the city beyond the city”, “urban hinterland”, “rural adjacent area to a town”. The zone contains a mixed characteristics from both city and country, while no longer urban yet not rural any more, and a main drive is urbanization.
