Dear parents/carers,

My name is Melanie Sheerin and I am a nursery nurse in the Foundation Stage at St. Nicholas Primary School. I am currently studying a BA degree in Early Years at Leeds Trinity University College and as part of my course work I am undertaking an action research project which is focusing on numeracy in the Early Years.

Parents/carers are invited to participate in this questionnaire about their experience as a parent/carer of a child in the Early Years and how they feel about their own numeracy skills.To complete this questionnaire you will be asked to tick one or several choices and also use the comment boxes. It will take approximately 15 to 30 minutes to complete.

Your participation in this study is voluntary, however, if you feel uncomfortable answering any questions you do not have to complete it if you do not wish to.Your opinions are very valuable and the more participation the more information received.Please understand that this questionnaire is completely confidential and data from this research will only be viewed by myself, my university tutor and the head teacher of St. Nicholas Primary School, Mr P. Lawson.
The questionnaires will be alphabetically coded so please do not write your name on the questionnaire.
