Imagine it is 2pm on Friday afternoon and you are on your way to go grocery shopping. You were in class from 10am to 1pm, you arrived to eat lunch at Sadler at 1:15pm, and then your friend picked you up at the Sadler Terrace at 1:55pm to drive you to Food Lion. After getting out of the car, you head towards the entrance with your wallet, your grocery list, and your cell phone. Your shopping list contains 5 items: apples, carrots, cereal, milk, and soup. You take a shopping basket as you enter the store, and you turn right to head towards the produce. You notice that the store is fairly crowded. In the produce section, 5 people are shopping alone and one woman has two young boys with her. One of the boys looks to be about 6 years old and the other looks to be about 10 year olds. You grab a bag of baby carrots from the refrigerated vegetable section and toss it into your grocery basket. Then you turn to walk over to the apples and notice that the 6 year-old boy is standing in front of the crate of oranges to the right of the apples. His mother is standing with her back to you and the 6 year-old boy while she is picking out vegetables. The 10 year-old boy has disappeared from your sight. As you pick out your apples, you notice the 6 year-old boy is standing on his toes trying to reach the oranges in the crate. Before you can ask him if he needs help, he tips the crate of oranges over and the crate comes crashing to the floor, along with all of the oranges. His mother turns around at the sound of the crash and rushes over to the boy. As she bends down to pick up the oranges, she sets her purse down on the table that was holding the crate of oranges and turns her back to it. You bend down to help pick up the oranges too, but as you look up from what you are doing, you see a Caucasian middle-aged man grab the purse and dart towards the exit. You notice that he is wearing a grey sweatshirt, a blue baseball cap, and jeans. You quickly stand up and yell, “Thief! Stop him!” Two managers run after him and chase him outside of the store.
