Please Read: Description of Cash Optimizer Platform

WesCorp is considering offering a product enhancement that would allow credit unions using our cash order services access to a vault cash optimizer. This robust web-based platform would allow credit unions to create optimum cash targets for each of their branch, teller and ATMs; gain a better understanding of member usage; and be able to implement more efficient cash control systems. This new product would be fully integrated with the current WesCorp Cash Ordering process Members now use through Member Center.

The cash optimizer platform would track the minimum and maximum cash limits based on the branch/ATMs’ internal profile of daily cash ending, the cost associated with shipments and deliveries, and the opportunity costs of carrying cash, thus optimizing the use of cash. As a result, branch managers possess a flexible tool to efficiently maintain their optimum cash quantities at each branch and ATM while freeing up unnecessary cash for income earning opportunities.

WesCorp is considering offering a special certificate of deposit to credit unions as a way of payment for the cash optimization service, in lieu of a direct fee. The rationale behind this includes several benefits to the CU including freeing up liquidity, achieving incremental income, paying more than the overnight rate, and it pays for the service.
