Dear Students,
One of the questions on the needs assessment refers to SEOPs. For your information, an SEOP is the Student Education Occupation Plan. An SEOP consists of the school counselor coordinating ongoing systemic activities designed to help individual students establish personal goals and develop future plans. Once a year, 7th and 8th grade students will meet with their parent or guardian and counselor for an SEOP. This is similar to a parent teacher conference, but deals with outcomes from the aforementioned activities. School counselors coordinate activities that help all students plan, monitor, and manage their own learning as well as meet competencies in the areas of:
-Academic/Learning Development
-Life/Career Development
-Multicultural/Global Citizen Development
-Personal/Social Development
Sincerely,
