Moving on to a slightly scientific topic. As you may know Europe is currently on the cutting edge of space exploration, and a Dutch firm are planning to send a colony to Mars by 2018. Some academics argue that the same funding going into space and planetary exploration should be used to discover more about our oceans and how we could colonize the ocean deeps by living in large underwater domes in the future, in the event of environmental catastrophe on the surface. Taking all points into consideration which of the two issues should take first priority?

Space

The Earth's largely unexplored ocean floors

A while ago Sir Iain Duncan Smith of the Conservative Party said that it is possible for an individual to live on 53 pounds per week in this country. Thinking purely as an individual person, do you think

This is absolutely impossible, given inflation and rising food prices

There are many issues that are facing the UK at the moment. It has been suggested that the economy and mass immigration are arguably the two biggest issues facing the UK at the present time. Which of the two do you consider to be the BIGGEST/MOST important issue?

The economy

Mass immigration

Earlier we asked your opinions about underwater exploration versus space exploration. This next question deals with a similar sort of theme but a different subject matter.

Film director James Cameron has made frequent dives to the Titanic wreck and believes that her remains should stay on the ocean floor unmolested. Many museum curators argue that as many remains of the Titanic as possible should be raised before they become corroded away by bacteria. It has been said that the Titanic remains will be corroded away into virtually nothing in the next 100 years. Do you think

The Titanic wreck should be left alone to rest in peace and for nature to run it's course?

That with modern technology the Titanic be raised as much as she can, with as many of her components as possible, and placed in a museum or museums throughout the world?
